After many operations to my shoulders, I was apprehensive about undertaking strenuous exercise, for fear that I would put myself back in my recovery. Preet’s expertise put my apprehension at bay, she understood my limitations and was able to assist with my rehabilitation and return to exercise. I knew I wasn’t capable of the training I needed if I had gone solo and would have possibly injured myself, so to have the appropriate training and be safely challenged has meant I have achieved more than I had thought possible.

Preet’s understanding of my specific rehabilitation needs has meant a full variety of training exercises, using weights which I have never used before. Her knowledge of how the body works and specifically mine has meant each session has been tailored to me, working within my capabilities with no risk of damage to my shoulders; infact my right shoulder that has had two operations I can honestly say has never been stronger.

I exercise every morning; her guidance has given me confidence to understand technique and posture but importantly the link with physiology and psychology has hugely influenced my own mindset. Preet’s professionalism and passion for what she does infuses into all areas of the training. This is not just about weights; it is a holistic approach which I have embraced. As my body heals from surgery Preet can recognise the need for recuperation, her sports massages are a gift – she has healing hands!

Another element to Preet which has had an impact on my life beyond the training in the gym is her extensive knowledge on nutrition – a talk led by Preet on female health relating to hormones and supplements has positively influenced how I approach and enjoy food. The supplements I am now taking under the guidance of Preet have led to better sleep and greater energy – win win!

Preet’s professionalism and passion for what she does is second to none. In a short space of time, I have seen great results not only in my personal fitness but also in my body shape. I am hitting a milestone birthday this year and I feel so much stronger both mentally and physically. I have literally lost inches and I've dropped a couple of dress sizes; my friends and family were commenting on how good I look, especially this new ‘glow’ I’ve got. With confidence I will celebrate my fiftieth this year!

I had started my weight loss and fitness journey about 3 months before starting with Preet. Although I’d made some progress, my weight and body composition gains were flatlining and despite being a member of gym for years decided I needed a PT. So I started PT sessions with Preet shortly after the pandemic, I tried doing some weight training independently before but had lost all motivation and was really struggling. 

 

Preet pointed me in the right direction with my training and has given me so much more confidence over the past year and a half, I feel mentally and physically stronger! My strength is continuing to improve as we do weekly sessions.

 

Preet has also helped me with my diet, which I was struggling with before our training sessions, she made me realise how important this is for the type of training we are doing  and has pointed me in the right direction with what supplements to take.

I contacted Preet as I have a number of health problems and I wanted to get my nutrition right. After years of feeling up and down, fatigued and suffering lots of pain from gynae issues (endometriosis, adenomyosis and PCOS), I wanted advice on what to feed my body to support it and help my illnesses, rather than being pushed to try more medication as my only option. The medication I’ve received has only ever given me short-term relief and is not suitable in the long-term e.g painkillers and hormone injections.

Seeing Preet has been brilliant and the best choice I’ve made in a long time. She provided a very

professional and detailed consultation, where she went into a lot of detail about what foods,

supplements, calories and level of exercise I should be having. Preet is extremely knowledgeable and has provided me with more information about my conditions than a GP ever has (I’ve been battling endo for over ten years). After the consultation, Preet provided me with a personal plan that is tailored to my needs. For me, reducing inflammation and improving hormone balance is key, so my plan contains all the foods and supplements I need to do this. I also need to lose weight, so the meal plan sets out my ideal calorie intake, gives me the weight of foods and the amount of protein that is required.

After a couple of weeks on the plan I started to feel better; I had more energy and I was a lot less

bloated. After two months on the plan, I have started to notice my pain has reduced which has

enabled me to start exercising (which is amazing as I’ve been unable to do this for a long time). I

continue to follow the plan as I have seen such a difference since I started. So far, I have lost 10LBS. Preet has continued to check in with me since the consultation and provides supports whenever I need it. She has given me tips and advice if I am having an off day; which has been instrumental to keeping me on plan and reaping the benefits of it.

Talking to Preet made me identify things to change not just within my skincare but with my diet too. Since our chat I have started taking the correct supplements, eating more of the foods I need and I have swapped up my skincare routine so it actually suits my skin!  â€¨I had never done any weights based training before so I wasn’t sure how it would be but Preet has been really great. Preet is really good at explaining how to do each exercise if you’re new to it and will show you exactly what to do. She makes you feel really comfortable if you’re new to exercising, but the best thing she does is to always adapt the workouts depending on your energy levels or if your not getting the technique correct she will make sure to get that right first, whilst always making sure you challenge yourself . This means you always get the best out of each session but don’t have any injuries. Preet pushes you to try lift heavier weights but in a very controlled safe way. Every session is different which means you target all muscle groups but don’t get bored doing the same things. And the sessions are enjoyable. 

Preet has also helped me understand more about my diet and what supplements to take and also eating the right foods at the right time eg. when you take protein. She is very qualified in research based nutrition This has really helped me to make better choices with my food.

I have been Preet's client over eight months now and here is my honest opinion about my experience. Preet met me at a weight of 60.9kg and size 14. We started with a 2-hour session working through my daily routine and my current diet habits. She took pictures, checked my weight and fat composition. She created a detail personal diet plan to accompany my Caribbean diet and followed with weekly check ups. In four months Preet took me from overweight, unhealthy and depressed to gradually loosing weight, food awareness and starting to feel good.

I had never been a ‘keep fit ‘ type of person, busy full-time stressful job with caring responsibilities. I never made time for ‘me ‘. When life changed I plucked up the courage to join a health club. I needed to lose some weight but more importantly, I hoped it would help my mental and physical health  I then spent 12 months regularly going to the gym but only using the cardio machines. I had little confidence and no clue as to how to use all the other machines/weights or what strength-based exercises to do!
I then met Preet and I’m delighted to say she has continued to be my personal trainer for six months now

I have been working with Preet for nearly one year now and having had other PT instructors, she is in a class far superior in all aspects of PT training.

 

Although I have played a lot of different sports and had a good level of fitness for most of my life, the last 12 years have been very challenging. I was diagnosed with a Sarcoma of the Tibia and have had four very large EPR Tibia replacement operations. Each one will take me at least 6 months before I can get back to any form of training.

 

Right from the beginning, Preet has put together a customised PT Schedule which takes into account my very unique muscle structure (e.g my calf now covers the front of my tibia and then connects up to my thigh muscles ) whilst protecting the overall structure of the prosthetic. At my latest consultants appointment, he commented that my hyperextension lag had massively improved and he was stunned as he would have expected this to deteriorate further after my latest operation. This was 100% down to the work Preet has done building up my leg.

 

In terms of the rest of my body training, Preet can approach on a no injury basis, but the quality of her tuition is excellent and she has corrected poor techniques that no other PT has even recognised. She brings into all the sessions the exercises she uses personally in competing at a national level in bodybuilding . This means the sessions stay fresh and I learn new exercises which I then bring into my own training.

She has recommended a vitamin regime that has had a major contribution to not only my bone growth around the prosthetic but also in my general health

 

My goal for 2020 is to continue with the above and also learn from her expertise in nutrition.

 

I cannot praise her enough and not only do I recommend her to my friends, she now coaches my daughter and is soon to work with  my sister.

I started working with Preet following a serious health scare which motivated me into action. I had been diagnosed as being T2 diabetic two years earlier and had made little to no effort to address the illness and its effects.


The first important point to note about Preet is her commitment to her job and her client's wellbeing. Preet has taken the time to understand my health situation and physical condition. The benefit from this approach as a client is that the diet and work out regime are truly tailored to my abilities and limitations.


Nine months down the line, my HbA1c levels have reduced from 89 to 53. (In simple terms, HbA1c is a measure for the levels of sugar within your blood). I am now well on my way to reversing the effects of T2 diabetes and extending my life expectancy. Yes, it has taken a commitment from myself, but Preet deserves all the credit for the success.

What can I say about the amazing Preet – she’s totally changed my approach to exercise at 55 !. I’ve always exercised regularly and have run 5k/10k and half marathons in my 40s but have never ventured to the weights end of the gym even though I have known I should. I gained over a stone in weight post menopause and knew I needed to do something different.

 

Preet has been just incredible - from the very first time I spoke to her before I even did any sessions  I knew that I could trust her and that her approach to our sessions would be exactly what I needed. 

 

Preets USP is that she genuinely wants to make sure that everything she does is specific to what you need – there’s no one size fits all – she makes sure that your session is tailored all the time to what you need. For me this also meant that Preet spent the first few sessions sorting my posture out something no other instructor had ever done. Within 4 weeks my knee pain and lower back pain was gone.  This is the same for how she managed to sort my nutrition out this in itself has been one of the best things she has done for me.

 

 

Preet does new exercises in every session and all the time will adapt any of them when she spots that you are doing them wrong or its affecting your posture. The attention to detail is just brilliant. She coaches you through the exercises without making you feel incompetent but also managing to keep you challenged and motivated. I have never had this from any other instructor. 

 

Preet is also really good at understanding how she needs to instruct you speaking as someone who is seriously uncoordinated and has a memory like a fish! 

 

I genuinely love all of our sessions and know that Preet will always take time to make sure her advice is evidenced based and suited to what I need. 

 

In terms of my results at 55 and post menopausal  Preet has massively changed my body composition – I now have muscles and Ive lost over a stone and my confidence has grown as  I now do my own sessions in the gym with weights 

 

As a person she is one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met and she deserves every success because we should all have some of Preets qualities in us. I have recommended her to soooooo many people and will continue to do so.
